Are you an experienced freelance paralegal with a proactive mindset, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for sustainability? Then this is your chance to make a difference! Join an international legal team playing a key role in building a greener future. We are looking for a dedicated professional for a temporary assignment of approximately 6 months to actively support the energy transition of tomorrow.

Our client

Our client is a frontrunner in the development of offshore wind energy and strongly believes in a world where sustainable energy is accessible to everyone. Since 2023, the company has been part of a global energy group with a clear mission: net zero by 2050.

With over 200 employees worldwide and more than 1000 MW of operational capacity, this organization is active in countries such as Belgium, Germany, Ireland, Norway, Greece, Australia, and New Zealand.

What makes them unique? The combination of technological expertise, human drive, and a clear long-term vision. Here, you’re not just working on projects — you’re working towards a better world.

Tasks

In this role, you support the legal team across a broad and engaging legal domain. No two days are the same, and your contribution truly makes a difference:

  • Corporate housekeeping

You ensure the smooth preparation of board and shareholder documents, closely monitor mandates, and manage share registers and group structures. You also handle KYC files, UBO registrations, and legal formalities such as legalizations and apostilles.

  • Contract management

You draft NDAs, general terms and conditions, and powers of attorney, and review third-party documents. Additionally, you assist with the administrative follow-up of contracts and correspondence.

  • Legal and administrative support

You conduct targeted legal research, gather publicly available information, and help establish and maintain a well-structured legal administration and contract database.

Profile

You are a driven and detail-oriented legal professional who enjoys thinking ahead, contributing ideas, and supporting a greater purpose. You thrive in a dynamic, international environment and know how to get things done. With your keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills, you effortlessly manage multiple files at once.

We are looking for:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Legal Practice or Law, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a paralegal, legal counsel, or legal assistant, preferably in an international setting.
  • A proactive mindset and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Discretion, integrity, and reliability as second nature.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build constructive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Fluency in Dutch or French, and the ability to switch seamlessly to English, both written and spoken.

Offer

What can you expect?

  • A freelance assignment of approximately 6 months in Flemish Brabant in a future-oriented sector.
  • A dynamic and supportive legal team that will welcome you with open arms.
  • A work environment where initiative is valued and where you have the freedom to work independently.
  • The opportunity to contribute to international projects that truly make a difference in the energy transition.
  • A company culture where sustainability, innovation, and humanity are at the core.

In short: a freelance assignment with purpose, impact, and inspiring colleagues!
